We got many requests for these as they used to be carried on the Sitars Etc. site, had a chance to pick a few out last March and here they are! 'Market' sitars are a term for the many sitars that come from Kolkata or elsewhere and are fitted by local shopowners. These sitar bodies are used by all the makers and quality can vary. We've taken these two and let them sit 5 months, played them and tweaked them to be a good entry level sitar that's affordable. They're not perfect but acceptable and listed below cost to get them here....Made of mahogany and without top gourds in Varanasi style. These sitars  were personally selected by us, fitted to our specs and air shipped to our shop.
