By purchasing from Rain City Music you and we agree to the following:
How to order: We can take your order via online secure server or by phone at (253) 678-2605 or via email. We accept VISA and Mastercard, Paypal, Western Union, money orders, or bank wires. We are happy to accept your personal check, please allow 8 days for payment processing on personal checks.
Returns: Should you wish to make a return you may do so provided you notify us within 3 days after receipt of your instrument and/or accessories except on custom instrument orders. Returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee. There are no returns for custom ordered instruments, DVD's, CD's, or books, defective items will be replaced upon receipt of the original item within the specified time period.. Please save your packing for returns, instruments must be received in good condition and any damage from improper packing or handling will be deducted from the refunded amount. Shipping costs both to and from the buyer are not refundable in any case.
When placing your order and checking the box you are agreeing to these terms via electronice signature. Non-compliance with agreed terms voids any warranty or obligation by us.
Custom or Special orders: There are no returns for custom or special ordered instruments unless defective. Custom designed instruments require full payment up front. Delivery can be expected anywhere from several weeks to 6 months, please consider this when requested a custom designed instrument. You will be regularly updated as to the status of your custom instrument while it's being made.
Out of stock or backorders: If a regular in-stock instrument is out of stock and backordered it may still be pre-purchased to guarantee it for you. If you do not wish to purchase it in advance then we'll notify you when one arrives on a first come, first served basis. Backordered instruments can take anywhere from several weeks to 6 months to receive.
Damaged shipments: You agree to assist us with any insurance claims by providing details, pictures, etc. as necessary on damaged shipments. Please note that damage is extremely unlikely due to our method of packing!
Intenational orders: We welcome International orders! International (out of the US) orders for instruments are usually shipped direct to you from India via DHL or FED EX. In most cases shipping charges overseas for instruments are the same price as domestic shipping in the US. The price does not include any duties, VAT, etc. levied by your country, these fees are entirely the responsibility of the purchaser.
Please contact us for a shipping quote prior to placing an online order for destinations outside the USA. We require a full address with phone number for shipping.....
There are no returns for overseas instrument shipments. Defective items will be replaced by us or a refund given once a claim has been filed in case of shipping damage.
Larger stringed instruments sent overseas require fiberglass cases for shipping without exception!
Blemishes: Our instruments are built to the finest standards available in the world for Indian musical instruments. Please note that even the same models can have slight variations in color or decoration. These are handcrafted items and none will escape the maker without a mark or two. If this is an issue for you, please consider this before ordering! Finishes are made from Shellac and so are highly sensitive to heat and impressions, our policy on damage does not apply to minor finish problems. Also our stringed instruments are shipped in fiberglass cases and in some instances there may be marks on the cases. Every precaution is taken by us, from air shipping to packing materials to preserve your instrument and we have many years of experience!
