This is the Hindustandi slide guitar ~ Mohan Veena offered by
Bhabasindhu Biswas of Concord Musical Industries. Bhabasindhu is
the maker of Hansa Veena & Mohan Veena for ALL of the leading
musicians including Barun Kumar Pal, Vishwa Mohan Bhatt &
Debashish Bhattacharyya.
This instrument is of the same style and
layout as
played by Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt. It features 7 main playing
strings and 13 sympathetics. A very resonant tone and fantastic
sympathetic response. The fretboard and nut are rosewood, the main body
is pine and the top is pine wood. This type is made without the
top tumba. Comes with a fiberglass case with wheels,
and an extra set of strings. Look for more instruments from Bhabasindhu including Hansa Veena in the future!
