From start to finish our harmoniums are handled with the utmost care. We will soon be expanding our selection to include a variety of quality harmoniums at different price levels. All feature aged wood and adequate tuning. Please note that Indian tuning is not quite A440 and no matter what you see advertised anywhere we've never seen one that wasn't at least a 1 or 2 cents sharp. In ensemble settings in Indian Classical or bhajans, etc. the string instruments and tabla are usually tuned to the harmonium.

Our harmoniums are air shipped only, this minimizes any chance of corrosion and everything is thoroughly checked here, we have years of experience with free reed instruments and can assist you with your reed problems should they occur. Harmoniums will adjust to different environments, if you live in an extremely dry climate then we recommend a Delhi made instrument as the humidity is lower, this includes Gopal Das instruments.

Surokar harmonium models will vary and are not customizable. DMS and Gopal Das harmoniums can be made to your specifications. Please inquire with any questions, there's no obligation!

We are carrying very good harmoniums now, the first ones are in and more to come. We have years of experience with free reed instruments of all types and full setup is included. You can find Paul & Co. harmoniums here, Surokar harmoniums here, and DMS harmoniums here. Please note that Surokar harmoniums cannot be custom ordered, we're lucky to get just a few per year due to high demand and difficulty in getting them to give them to us so what you see is what you get for Surokar. DMS and Gopal Das harmoniums can be custom made to your specifications. Our harmoniums are limited in quantity and all are made to professional standards without exception. We never container ship our instruments, all are air shipped in fiberglass cases or boxes to us from India. Please consider this when comparing as most other places container ship.

Pakrashi Scale changer Concert HARMONIUM.

Collapsible 9 note scale changer concert harmonium for vocal accompaniment. Pakrashi harmoniums have a nice sweet mellow tone best described as 'nasal' in Indian terms and so are preferred by many Bengalis and classical singers. They are hard to get intact from India and in tune, this one was obtained at great effort and has been fully setup and ready to go. Male/Male/Female reed banks. Collapsible scale changer harmonium made from mahogany from one of the finest harmonium makers in India. They are preferred especially for kirtans and bhajans due to their excellent sound projection. This one features an 11 note scale changer which is harder to come by than the more popular 9-scale. 3 banks of reeds in male/male/female setup with 4 stops and 7 drones. 3 octave keyboard, 7 fold bellows.
