The Guild of American Luthiers publishes a quarterly magazine, “American Lutherie”, entirely devoted to stringed instrument making and repair.

To introduce other luthiers to the unique instrument making traditions of India the GAL published this article I wrote in the fall 2002 (#67) issue.

It is a summary both technically and anecdotally of my experiences in India and part of the documentation of my apprenticeship with Kartar Chand Sharma.
