Bashir Gulab Patta (Rose) Kharaj Pancham Miraj sitar.

7 main strings ~ 13 sympathetics ~  Ravi Shankar style.

Made from aged mahogany with a red colored finish. Like most sitars from Bashir this one is unique in decoration with gulab/rose carvings on both the tumba and the tabli. The gourd is from Maharashtra colored in deep red. Composite bridge with natural materials for all hardware. The top gourd is spun wood. We are really impressed with the tone and beauty of Bashir's instruments and this sitar has been air shipped (as are all of our instruments) to preserve its quality.
