Made from aged mahogany with a light curry colored finish on the gourd. Like most sitars from Bashir this one is unique in decoration with angur/grape carvings on the tumba and rose carvings on the tabli.. Composite bridge with natural materials for all hardwar. The top gourd is spun wood. We are really impressed with the tone and beauty of Bashir's instruments and this sitar has been air shipped (as are all of our instruments) to preserve its quality.
